Congregation Habonim, in partnership with Tafsik Organization, is organizing a powerful Solidarity Mission to Israel from May 11-15, 2025. The five-day, four-night journey is designed to provide participants with a firsthand understanding of the tragic events of October 7, 2023, and the ongoing recovery efforts in affected communities.

Led by Habonim member and Jewish advocate Eynat Katz, Habonim Cantor Kim Kowarsky Doron, and Tafsik Organization, the mission will include meetings with high-ranking Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel, visits to the front lines, and discussions with families of hostages. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with organizations—including Tafsik—leading humanitarian and rebuilding efforts, offering direct support to those working to restore stability and hope.

In addition to witnessing the resilience of impacted Israeli communities, the mission will provide a broader perspective on the region by facilitating discussions with Druze and Arab community leaders. These conversations will highlight the efforts of those striving to foster coexistence and peace amid ongoing tensions.

“This trip is more than just a visit—it is a chance to stand with Israel, bear witness to history, and connect with the people who are rebuilding in the face of unimaginable hardship,” organizers said.

With Congregation Habonim and Tafsik Organization at the helm, the Solidarity Mission aims to strengthen ties between North American Jewish communities and Israel, offering a unique opportunity for participants to gain an in-depth and personal understanding of the country’s challenges and triumphs.
