Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) International Fraternity has kicked off its 11th annual Mensch Madness Bracket Challenge, blending the excitement of the NCAA college basketball tournament with a commitment to tikkun olam—repairing the world. Over the past decade, this philanthropic initiative has raised more than $100,000 for AEPi’s Repair the World Fund, supporting various Jewish causes. This year’s beneficiaries include NECHAMA, the Israel ParaSport Center, and Chai Lifeline.
“Mensch Madness is a fun way for AEPi undergraduates and alumni to raise funds for important Jewish and Israeli causes,” said Rob Derdiger, CEO of Alpha Epsilon Pi International. “We’re proud of the work that our chapters put into this annual event.”
Participants can purchase brackets and make donations through the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The winning bracket submission will receive a $500 gift card, and the individual raising the most money will win a $250 gift card. Chapters raising the most funds will also be recognized. Brackets are available for purchase until the tournament begins on March 20.
“We are deeply appreciative of Alpha Epsilon Pi’s dedication to making a difference in the lives of children and families facing serious illness,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “Their support through Mensch Madness will help provide critical care and essential services to those who need it most.”
