The United Jewish Appeal (UJA) Federation of Greater Toronto is preparing for its 56th annual Walk with Israel, set to take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025. This event has long been a cornerstone of Toronto’s Jewish community, bringing together thousands of participants to demonstrate unwavering support for Israel.
The Walk is scheduled to commence at 9:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 9:00 AM at Bathurst Street, between Old Orchard Grove and Douglas Avenue, to ensure a timely start. The route spans approximately 5 kilometers, proceeding northbound and culminating at the Renee & Irwin Nadal Walk Solidarity Festival on UJA’s Sherman Campus, located at 4600 Bathurst Street.
The Solidarity Festival will feature family-friendly activities, food vendors, and opportunities to engage with various community organizations. This festival serves as a celebration of Israeli culture and a testament to the enduring bond between Toronto’s Jewish community and Israel.
To facilitate participation, shuttle bus services will be available from the Lawrence Allen Centre, starting at 8:00 AM. These shuttles will transport attendees to the starting point and return them to the Lawrence Allen Centre from UJA’s Sherman Campus between 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Given the limited parking around the Walk route, organizers recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing services.
Registration for the event is currently open. Participants can sign up and access fundraising tools through the official Walk with Israel website. Fundraising efforts associated with the Walk support a variety of initiatives, including aid for vulnerable populations in Israel and strengthening Jewish identity among youth.
The UJA’s Walk with Israel is not only a demonstration of solidarity but also a significant fundraising endeavor. Proceeds from the event support various programs and services that benefit both the local community and Israel, reinforcing the strong ties that bind them.
For more information, registration, and updates, interested individuals can visit the official Walk with Israel website or follow the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto on their social media platforms.

I just became of this event today, one day before it starts. Can anyone join in the march.
