Winnipeg’s Rady Jewish Community Centre (JCC) is set to host a series of enriching Passover programs designed to engage community members of all backgrounds and ages. These events aim to foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and communal unity during the significant Jewish holiday.
Children’s Matzah Cover Workshop
On Sunday, April 6, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Rady JCC invites children to a hands-on workshop where they can craft personalized Matzah covers using fabric paint. This activity not only nurtures artistic expression but also deepens the young participants’ connection to Passover traditions. All materials are provided, and parents are welcome to attend at no additional cost.
Adult Fabric Flower Accessory Workshop
Adults seeking a creative outlet can join a special workshop on Tuesday, April 8, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, to design unique fabric flower accessories inspired by the themes of Passover and spring. This session offers a relaxed environment for participants to explore their creativity, with no prior experience required and all materials supplied.
Community Passover Seder
Highlighting the festivities, the Rady JCC will host a Community Passover Seder on Sunday, April 13, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chevra Mishnayes Synagogue, located at 700 Jefferson Avenue. This inclusive event welcomes individuals and families, regardless of their faith or background, to partake in the retelling of the Passover story, engage in meaningful discussions, and enjoy a traditional Passover meal. Whether attendees are experiencing their first Seder or have participated in many, the evening promises warmth and communal joy.
The Rady JCC emphasizes that these events are open to everyone, reflecting the center’s commitment to cultural inclusivity and community engagement. Interested individuals are encouraged to register promptly, as spaces are limited. For more information and registration details, visit the Rady JCC’s official website or contact their main office.
