In a powerful display of unity and commitment to the Jewish homeland, Nefesh B’Nefesh and its esteemed partners the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration have launched an ambitious week-long initiative to accelerate Aliyah momentum in 2025. The initiative, which involved a series of interconnected events in Toronto, Teaneck, Chicago, and beyond, has galvanized thousands of prospective Olim, empowering them with the resources and support needed to build a new life in Israel.
At the heart of this week of celebration was the flagship Annual Aliyah Fair held in Teaneck, New Jersey. Drawing approximately 600 attendees, the fair offered a one-stop hub for everything from legal consultations and real estate advice to financial planning and documentation support. Representatives from the Jerusalem Municipality, notaries, and background check experts were on hand to provide tailored assistance, ensuring that each individual’s journey to Israel was as smooth and informed as possible.
Complementing the fair were specialized workshops and interactive panels, where participants engaged in real-time consultations and one-on-one expert sessions. These initiatives demystified the complex Aliyah process, reinforcing that making Aliyah is not only a dream but an attainable reality for North American Jews.
The celebrations extended beyond practical support. In Chicago and Toronto, a series of concerts featuring renowned singer Yonatan Razel brought together diverse communities in a heartfelt tribute to Israel. These cultural gatherings, infused with music and meaningful dialogue, reinforced the unifying power of Jewish heritage and the enduring promise of the ingathering of exiles.
Minister of Aliyah and Integration, Ofir Sofer, captured the spirit of the week by reflecting on the unwavering solidarity of the Jewish people during times of crisis. “During this painful war, we have witnessed an incredible wave of solidarity from the entire Jewish people,” he said. Sofer emphasized that even amidst conflict, tens of thousands of new immigrants have chosen to come to Israel out of a deep belief in the return to Zion.

Rabbi Yehoshua Fass, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Nefesh B’Nefesh, echoed this sentiment: “This week has been extremely impactful and inspiring. We are proud to offer a comprehensive platform that provides each individual with the resources and guidance needed to turn their dream of building a life in Israel into reality.”
Adding further momentum was the “Aliyah-In-One” initiative—a streamlined, targeted mini-fair designed for those already in the process of making Aliyah. Held in Toronto and New Jersey, with plans for expansion to Los Angeles, Miami, and additional events later this year, the initiative has streamlined document submission, background checks, and paperwork processes, ensuring a faster transition to life in Israel.
Major General (Res.) Doron Almog, Chairman of The Jewish Agency, summed up the week’s significance, saying, “Aliyah is the realization of the vision of the ingathering of the exiles. The events of the past week have shown the deep sense of mutual responsibility and the commitment of Jews worldwide to Israel, especially during this challenging time.”
This vibrant week of events is not only a celebration of heritage—it is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Jewish people and their steadfast belief in the future of Israel. As North American Jews continue to forge deep connections with their ancestral homeland, initiatives like these serve as a powerful reminder that Aliyah is not just a dream of the past but a living, thriving reality that continues to shape the future of the Jewish state.
