PHOENIX โ Jewish advocacy organizations and event attendees are calling for accountability after an incident outside AmFest in Phoenix in which a visibly pregnant Jewish woman says she was subjected to antisemitic verbal abuse, according to witness accounts and video circulating on social media.
The incident unfolded outside the AmFest venue, a major conservative gathering hosted by Turning Point USA. Widely shared video footage shows a man, identified by multiple witnesses as Amrou Fudl, confronting a pregnant woman and hurling an antisemitic slur at her. Fudl, who has appeared at political rallies and conferences with his signature provocative online rhetoric, drew sharp reactions from bystanders as the woman responded defiantly.
Advocacy groups say the footage also shows the man wearing apparel bearing violent language directed at Jews. Those groups argue that the clothing and the language used together constitute an explicit expression of antisemitism rather than a political dispute.
The woman targeted in the encounter has not been publicly named. According to individuals present at the scene, the confrontation occurred in a public area outside the event and was not initiated by the woman. Several attendees stated that the exchange was unprovoked and escalated quickly.
โThis was not political speech,โ said a representative of a Jewish civil rights organization that reviewed the footage. โIt was targeted, demeaning language directed at a Jewish woman because she is Jewish. That is antisemitism.โ
As of publication, law enforcement authorities had not announced whether a formal complaint had been filed or whether the incident was under active investigation. Police in the area have said they are aware of the circulating video and are reviewing available information to determine whether any laws were violated.
Event organizers issued a brief statement condemning hate and saying the alleged conduct does not reflect the values of the conference. โWe do not tolerate antisemitism or any form of harassment,โ the statement said, adding that security protocols are intended to keep attendees and the public safe.
Legal experts note that while offensive speech is broadly protected under the First Amendment, targeted harassment or threats can cross legal thresholds depending on the circumstances, location, and conduct involved. They emphasize that determinations must be made by authorities based on evidence and applicable law.
Jewish organizations say the incident reflects a broader pattern of emboldened antisemitism in public spaces, particularly around politically charged events. According to data compiled by Jewish community monitoring groups, reports of verbal harassment and intimidation have increased significantly in recent years, with women and visibly Jewish individuals frequently targeted.
โWhat is especially troubling here is the vulnerability of the victim,โ said one community leader. โTargeting a pregnant woman with hateful language shows a level of cruelty that cannot be dismissed as rhetoric.โ
For pro-Israel and Jewish audiences, the episode has renewed concern that antisemitism is being normalized under the guise of political confrontation. Community leaders argue that consistent public condemnation is essential to prevent escalation from verbal abuse to physical harm.
At the same time, they caution against speculation or online vigilantism. โAccountability must come through lawful channels,โ one advocacy group said. โFacts matter, due process matters, and antisemitism must be confronted responsibly.โ
As the video continues to circulate, Jewish organizations say they will monitor the response from authorities and event organizers. They are urging witnesses to cooperate with any investigation and are reiterating calls for clear standards that reject antisemitism in all public settings.
No charges had been announced as of publication.

He is wearing a shirt that calls to burn Jews.
Why will no one who accuses Ben Shapiro of being โdivisive,โ say a word about this?
