LONDON — Police in London are investigating a series of antisemitic attacks in the Golders Green area in northwest London that left at least two synagogues and other Jewish sites defaced with faeces and, in one case, a bucket of urine thrown at a Jewish school.
Local volunteers from Shomrim North West London said they have gathered CCTV from several locations that appear to show the same man carrying out the attacks. The group provided stills to police and urged anyone with information to come forward.
In the past week, several synagogues in Golders Green – the heart of London’s Jewish community – have had faeces smeared on their doors.

The Metropolitan Police described the incidents as subject to investigation and said officers were treating the reports as criminal damage that may be aggravated by religiously motivated hostility.
Police have appealed to the public for information and for anyone with relevant CCTV to contact them.
Community organisations said the incidents have caused shock and fear in Golders Green, a long-established centre of London’s Jewish community.
The Community Security Trust said it is supporting the affected congregations and urged anyone with information to contact the police and CST.
Reports compiled by local Jewish news outlets and community pages say the attacks occurred on multiple dates within the past week and included damage to synagogue walls and entrance buzzers, as well as the school incident.
Volunteers and police are reviewing footage to establish a timeline and identify the suspect.
Local leaders called for heightened vigilance and for institutions to review security arrangements. They also urged the public to report any suspicious behaviour.
Campaign Against Antisemitism and other groups condemned the incidents and called for swift action by law enforcement.
